Exploding from the pages of "Planet Hulk", the blockbuster event "World War Hulk" features the Hulk's destructive and vengeful return to Earth.

Deemed too dangerous to remain on Earth by the secret super hero group the Illuminati, the Hulk was exiled and sent to an uninhabited planet. His ship traveling off-course, Hulk landed on Sakaar, a planet consumed and divided by violence. The Hulk soon found himself imprisoned and forced to take part in gladiator games. Leading a rebellion against the tyrannical Sakaar emperor, the incredible Hulk smashes his way to become king. But just as the Hulk began to bring peace to his new home, the shuttle in which he arrived exploded, killing his wife and unborn child while ultimately decimating the planet’s population.

Enraged more than ever, the Hulk made a furious return to Earth with fellow Sakaar survivors and his Warbound comrades in arms. His mission has been clear: find the members of the Illuminati and avenge his fallen people.
